Arctic Animal Music Festival Set Design

Help me give my students these supplies to design a successful Winter Artic Animal background (set) for a concert at Ashland Elementary. They are making penguins, snowflakes, and polar bears.

My Project

These materials will help us bring to life the set design for the student's December music festival, "Artic Animals", (penguins, polar bears, and snowflakes). All classes, Pre-K through 5th will be working on and performing in this project. We will be using the larger sheets of cardboard to create large Polar Bears and the sheets of white vellum to create snowflakes and small penguins. In addition, we will also be using recycled cardboard boxes to make larger penguins. The multi-color paints will be used to paint a Northern Lights background. The white paint will be used to paint the polar bears and penguins. The silver glitter will cover hundreds of snowflakes and will provide extra sparkle with special lighting. The snowflakes will be hung with the fishing line. The polar bears and penguins will be freestanding, supported by cardboard braces put together using a glue gun.

The students are very committed to creating wonderful works of art and excited about the upcoming set design they will be working on.
