A typical day in my classroom is very busy and productive. Students love to learn, and are eager to do hands-on activities in the classroom and the laboratory setting. "Opportunity is often missed because it is disguised as hard work."
My students are from a tight-knit, rural community who love to show their school spirit and attend many activities provided by our school.
We have small classes, and students get along well with each other. Our school shows pride through the hallways and has good school spirit.
My Project
My students need a Freshwater Aquarium Kit to study aquatic habitats indoors. Materials requested include an aquarium kit that will be used to study environmental science - aquatic life more closely from the classroom setting. There is not a stream or lake nearby our school, so studying fish is a little more difficult since it is not a readily available source of learning. This tank will also aid as a stress reduction zone for students, having an easy to manage animal in the classroom to care for. We can either purchase fish from the store or stock with collected animals from nature to examine and learn how to care for them with this tank.
