This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students have been intrigued by what they've learned over the past few months with our 29-gallon class aquarium. Students have been able to monitor and understand the underwater cycles as they observe various goldfish, snails, plecos, and plants as well as aquarium parameters and waste.

Students have learned that goldfish are a messy species of fish, and they would like to view the changes in the aquarium more clearly.

Students will be able to watch the organisms in a healthy tank with the automatic gravel cleaner, gravel tray and add plants to keep down ammonias and give the fish a new kind of snack.
