My Project

I recently set up two small aquaponics habitats in the media center. The kids are mesmerized! One of the tanks is a plain 10-gallon with one goldfish and no decorations. The other is a 3.5 gallon and has a betta but no decorations. After the initial setup, I realized that to maintain these tanks for the school year, I would need more supplies.

In order to create a beautiful and interesting learning experience for the students, I would like to decorate the tanks and make sure that I am stocked with all the necessary supplies to maintain them.

This includes food for the fish, items to clean the water and tank, gravel for the bottom, and places for the fish to hide. The students love coming to the media center to check on the fish, and I want to make sure I am giving them a memorable experience. The fact that the fish water is being used to grow swiss chard is an extra bonus because they are learning about aquaponics!
