Aqua Adventures: Building Mini Ecosystems in Our Classroom!

Help me give my students the magic of live ecosystems right in our classroom with tanks, planaria, Daphnia, hydra, goldfish, and even rolly polies!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine a classroom bubbling with life, where curious eyes meet the wonders of living ecosystems. We're on a mission to bring the wild indoors, where students can explore the circle of life, from the tiniest planaria to the goldfish's glint. We need your support to stock up on tanks, critters, and plants to turn our room into an exploratory lab of awesomeness. Help us dive into learning!

Our students are budding scientists, eager to question, explore, and discover.

They deserve a classroom that feeds their curiosity and propels them into learning adventures. Your generous donations will bring to our class the thrill of live ecosystems, fostering a hands-on understanding of biology that textbooks just can't match. Let's cultivate their wonder and watch it grow!

My donation requests within this project are for two aquarium tanks (one for goldfish, one for a mixed ecosystem with planaria, Daphnia, and hydra), live specimens, including planaria, Daphnia, hydra, goldfish, and rolly pollies,

aquatic plants for both ecosystems,

water testing kits to ensure a healthy environment, and supplies for setting up the habitats (gravel, filters, water conditioners).

Our students are the future leaders and change-makers of our world. I am constantly amazed by their creativity, their endless questions, and their genuine excitement for learning. However, to fully nurture this potential, they need access to dynamic, hands-on educational experiences. These ecosystems will not only spark their curiosity but also teach them responsibility, the importance of biodiversity, and the intricacies of life cycles.

With your help, we can transform our classroom into a living laboratory, where every day is a new adventure. This project will not only enrich our students' education but also foster a greater appreciation for the natural world in our community. Thank you for your support in making our classroom
