Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach dual language inmersión, Spanish side, in 4th grade.
I am very proud of everything the students have learned.
They are bored of reading the old books we have. We need new interesting stories.
We love to read in Spanish, and we need real stories, we want to know more about Spanish-speakers' countries.
They want interesting. They want fun and interesting stories, they want to have a good time learning curious things about Spanish-speaking countries.
We are lifelong learners and leaders who never give up, encourage others, and do our best!
We will empower students to succeed in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. Our community of teachers, staff, students, parents, administrators, and business partners work together to create an academic, physical, emotional, and social atmosphere where everyone can learn and respect one another. Together, We Are More!
Reading can be one of those fun and motivational activities that make learning a second language something attractive and fun for children. In addition, stories allow children to understand the world around them and favor their development. Therefore, there are many who bet on promoting its use as a fundamental part in the natural learning of a language.
My Project
We learn programming, we are going to see and discover different cities from class, we are also going to visit places in Spanish-speaking countries.
My students will benefit from this great opportunity to get to know my Spanish culture and that of other Spanish-speaking countries, from the comfort of being in class.
We will also learn digital citizenship and students will be exemplary citizens online. That now with distance learning it is very important to be respectful of other people online.
I think it could be a great opportunity to get to know monuments from different countries, some monuments that cannot be visited in person due to the pandemic.
Seeing and discovering new things also helps them de-stress, since this pandemic has increased the stress of students not being able to go out and not being able to do things outside the home.
