Remember when schools were the only place you could use a computer? I remember being SO EXCITED for computer time. Who didn't love the Oregon Trail? We need the technology to reach today's students.
We live in a small rural community.
Many of my amazing students do not have access to any technology at home. My goal is to use the iPad as a part of our daily instruction and work time. Students would have the option to use the iPad to create and take pictures of current projects and to work on the many science and math apps that are available.
My Project
The possibilities are endless with an iPad for our classroom. I envision my students using apps like Trash Chaos when working on our recycling unit. We would be able to take pictures and make movies of our ladybugs in their habitat and digitally record the changes. I want my students to have access to this technology to enhance their second grade learning experience but more importantly to give them a chance to succeed in the future job market.
Please help bring essential technology to my fantastic learners.
