Applied Exercise Science at Home

My Students

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and 35% of the school population are economically disadvantaged. With the current situation our country is facing with the pandemic, many of my students have been affected in some way. Many of my students' parents have been laid off from work and are now facing serious issues in the home.

As wonderful as it is to be with my students face to face during the school day and having them engage in physical activity during PE, this is a completely different situation, trying to find creative ways to have my students continue to be active physically from a distance is extremely frustrating.

I am looking for ways to continue to be the inspiration in their lives to have them continue with good health and fitness.

My Project

Like many teachers, since COVID-19, I've been teaching all of my classes remotely. Although I am not new to online teaching or coaching, I wasn’t sure how to make the experience fun and engaging for me and my learners. But I have to be innovative in order to make learning fun and engaging to all my students

Having a laptop will embrace technological tools in learning with all my students.

Laptops are designed to assist students to understand exercise science in developing physiological and psychological changes that occur in aging. It provides many apps for research in group work in order to have better understanding exercise science.

Not only are they becoming more popular for home use, but many schools are starting to incorporate them into their classrooms as well. Several advantages exist for students using laptops, including more efficient and detailed note taking, faster writing and editing, and convenient group work and study. Laptops offer these advantages to students no matter what their grade or age.
