Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are smart, creative, and hardworking individuals. My students are very special to me and deserve the best. They are superstars and excel every day with smiles on their faces.

Science is a very important subject but is under-studied in school so I'm requesting materials so that my students can have access to concrete hands-on materials that will expand their vocabulary and understanding of key concepts and skills.

My students in science class because of the lack of materials we have. There are limited resources and thus the students demonstrate a lack of motivation in class and some are not excited about science. With the generous help of Donor's Choose, my students will be more engaged, enjoy science, and want to come to class. , will build a stronger attendance in class and an engaging class.

This project will be very beneficial to my students and will help this engage students who are emotionally and physically shut off by engaging them in therapeutic practices that will better equip them with social skills in which they can use in the classroom to get along with positive peer relationships.

My Project

The students have limited access to technology at school due to funding. I am requesting Apple I-PADS and Defender cases to add to my classroom for the students to use on their science fair projects and classroom work.

Due to the lack of Technology resources in our school the students are disengaged And have low self-esteem about their work in materials for school.

They are unmotivated and attendance is low. With the help of the Chromebooks I requested, my students will want to come to class to learn and be engaged in science class. The students will use the iPads to be reengaged in classroom work and will be motivated and have positive self-esteem. They will want to continue to do their daily work and come to class being Energized and enthusiastic and proud of their work. Attendance will improve and the students will be happy, motivated, and more engaged in their work.

The technology will also result in students to practice science concepts in a more engaging manner.

Applying science technology will help students to be exposed to the concepts that I am teaching and allow me to differentiate the student’s work based on the common core standard that they need to be exposed too. This will allow their work to be private and reduce frustration and negativity towards the concepts. I also feel that adding computers will expose students to different form of the math concept and will expose the students in another form of learning. These technology devices will build upon student academic success through personal connections with the devices that will build classroom relationships.
