Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are inquisitive and full of energy. They are at the beginning of their school career and excited about learning. Many of my students are English Learners. Learning a second language often makes these early years difficult for my students.
Although my students arrive with many challenges, nothing holds them back.
They are ready to overcome financial, language, and emotional hardship and focus on success! My goal is to keep this momentum going and to continuously motivate my students!
My Project
My students attend a Title I school and live in a low-income community. Most of my students live with multiple families in one home or apartment. They do not have access to technology at home, and sadly at school too. We are a small school, so we do not have the funds that larger schools have. We are a primary center, and we do not have the necessary technology to help our students become successful 21st-century learners. Using the Apple TV, the students will have access to search engines, educational videos, apps, and more. For my students, this is the first access they have to technology.
