This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me give my students apple technology which included an iPad mini, an Apple Watch and apple accessories. We started the use of yonder pouches so my students no longer have quick access to their technology. Due to lack of funding we don't have enough laptops for everyone to use in the classroom. Different forms of apple technology make it easily accessible for students to work on their post secondary plans. The Ipad mini allows me to walk into and help students complete required applications. This will allow student to have access to technology that is desperately needed to use while in class to meet post secondary deadlines. By the end of the semester the top 10 students will be entered into a raffle where they can win and Apple watch. It will be used as an attendance incentive for students who come to school regularly on time and complete their post secondary plan. An apple watch will help students develop their time management skills, as well as monitor their fitness and health. The apple watch also serves as an alarm to wake to set reminders for scheduled events.

Help me attempt to remove the social economic gaps my students are facing and provide them an opportunity to level the playing field while also being provided the opportunity to earn an incentive that will motivate them to work towards improving their attendance and academic outcomes.

This will allow my students to participate in the opportunities that education can make possible and remove the barriers that limit success. I work very hard on trying to prepare them as best as I could to what may come in the future. Most of my students don't have the blue prints to follow for college and career, they are drawing their own.
