This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the last time you were truly excited about learning something new? My students are in need of an iPad to use in our classroom so they will be excited about learning.
Most of my students come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
Many do not have access to computers at home and some have never heard of an Ipad. My students are wonderful and come from supportive homes, but with both parents working to meet their needs, there isn't much money left for extras, such as technology.
My Project
I am requesting an IPad for my class. With the money from this grant my students will be excited about learning and more motivated to learn. I am excited about using the IPad to incorporate additional activities with the weekly readers that I have already purchased for my class. So many of these additional activities, which teach them about news in our world today, need an IPad to make the lesson spectacular. I want my students to walk away from these lessons motivated and excited to learn more after the IPad has provided them these additional resources.
Technology is a huge part of our world today.
I do not want my students to be left behind because they do not have access to technology. An Ipad would be a wonderful resource for my students and they would benefit tremendously from the extended resources that I will be able to provide them with use of the IPad. This IPad will make learning fun and exciting for my students.
