Help me give my students technology to support their instruction in a blended learning environment.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. T. Leventhal's classroom raised $610
This project is fully funded
My Students
My first grade class meets the needs of a diverse group of learners. They are a mix of general and special needs children, and many are also English language learners. They are fun, enthusiastic, and motivated to learn. Each day, I enjoy teaching them something new and also learning from them along the way.
As the new year begins, my students will be learning in person and remotely.
Reflecting on the last few months of remote teaching, I am proud of what my first graders achieved, but I also saw struggles that are not usually seen in a classroom setting. My goal this year is to find ways to continue to make my teaching productive and engaging at the same time.
My Project
The school year of 2020-2021 will be unlike any other. Due to COVID-19, teaching and student learning will look different from anything we ever imagined. The one thing that has not changed is my love of teaching. Each day, I look forward to seeing my students' smiling faces, whether it's in person or virtually. I love watching my first graders grow academically and socially.
The iPad will be used as a tool to help me visually teach lessons, read books, provide interactive activities during small groups, and keep data on my students.
I feel it will be a virtual board to be used in remote learning during synchronous and asynchronous lessons. It will also be used in the classroom during small groups to provide fun and engaging activities The iPad will add the missing interactive technology that I need in my blended classroom.
