Winston Churchill said, "Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm." My students have experienced failure many times over, but they are learning to overcome these obstacles.
My students are elementary age special education students with Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury and ADHD.
They are unique and bright students that thrive on new experiences. They live in a suburban area with mild poverty.
My Project
My students need an Apple iPad. The Apple iPad has apps specifically designed to help special needs students. Using these apps, the students will be able to access learning in a way that will provide both visual and hands-on tools in math and literacy. Allowing students to tap into this technology will motivate and inspire educational success.
High-tech teaching provides a potent shot in the arm to the elementary learning process of special education students.
The Apple iPad opens up avenues that give students more independence. This technology applies new ways for students to show their work to the world. My students would benefit from the latest apps that are specifically designed for their educational needs.
