My Students
As Pre-AP English teachers, we strive to create a classroom environment that encourages students to both embrace the struggle that comes with a rigorous curriculum and serve as advocates for themselves and their community.
Our scholars are aspiring AP students who seek to challenge themselves constantly and will never settle until they come to a greater understanding.
They are joyful, tenacious, and fearless individuals who are willing to do what it takes to make our classrooms and our world a better place.
My Project
Having a document camera will transform the way our students annotate and learn from one another. By allowing our students to see our annotations, as well as adding annotations that classmates provide, students will be able to generate a deeper and richer understanding of text.
These materials will allow our students to become more invested in reading, learning, and analyzing.
Students will get excited about digging into text, and they will be encouraged to discuss text by seeing their annotations on the board in front of them. Increased student investment will always lead to better outcomes, both academic and personal.
