This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have eagerly enrolled in the upcoming academic year College Board's new AP Precalculus program. The course and exam entail a calculator component! However, our school's calculators are outdated and inadequate. Our pupils are aware of this limitation but remain enthusiastic about the course.
Unfortunately, most of them cannot afford to buy a graphing calculator on their own due to economic hardships.
It is crucial for students to have access to these tools as they aid in the application of mathematical concepts and prepare them for the AP exam. These calculators are not only instrumental in improving GPAs and earning college credit but also in providing equal opportunities for students to learn and compete globally in mathematics education.
