Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many students work part-time or full-time along with attending school every day. After they leave school at 3:00 PM, many go to work at 4:00 PM and work until closing time. Only 14% of students that graduate from our high school currently go to and finish college. The average ACT score is currently an 18. Despite the many challenges they face, my students come to school every day with an appetite for success and for learning. Help me give my students the opportunities they need to succeed!
My Project
I am asking for binder dividers that will set my students up for success early on in the school year. Many of my students struggle to obtain the necessary materials to start the year. I am requesting these materials for interactive notebooks. By providing them with the materials they need to start the year, they will be better suited to learn instead of trying to find materials. The students often struggle staying organized. With the dividers, the students will easily keep their unit paperwork in order and it will be easy to find. Then they will be able to succeed in the classroom.
