Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a dynamic group of kids who are always looking for ways to learn new things about technology. They come to the classroom filled with humor and laughter and creative minds. More than a positive attitude, thirst for learning, these kids come to my classroom with empty stomachs and excessive troubles brought about by homelessness and other social issues. They often ask if I have food or water to give them because they are feeling hungry and have not had a descent meal.
My Project
By providing my students with the AP Computer Science Principles Crash course book, the students will have access to more review questions that they can study in preparation for the AP Computer Science Principles exam in May. The book will provide them with completing their two performance tasks and half end-of-course assessment. Reading this book will help them to better understand how to prepare for the AP exam. The test questions are online. They can enter the code from the cover of the book to peak ahead. The appendix at the end tells right off the start what concepts is needed to practice and know for the test questions. The little “test tips” throughout are perfect for people new to CS .This is a must have book for anyone taking the AP Computer Course.
