Help me give my students hands-on, student-led experience with human evolution, something we missed during the pandemic!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the primary constraints of learning during the pandemic was the absence of lab work and hands-on, student-leg material. The human evolution lab in AP biology allows students to explore the physical differences between humans and our closes extinct relatives by examining various characteristics of skulls of human ancestors. A great student-led lab that guides students through how different environmental characteristics lead to different physical characteristics. This lab allows students to see first-hand how differences in human characteristics arose. Students have the opportunity to handle and manipulate the skull replicas and find differences for themselves. Totally not possible during the pandemic!
