Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a bunch of fun, curious kids. They love science. This new school year will be the first time my students will be receiving a Bilingual STEM Enrichment class. In this class, my goal is to make my students become real world problem solvers. I will introduce a problem through a reading and then give students activities that will push them to design and/or build models that create solutions to them.

I'm hoping that with the materials from this project my students' love of science grows and that my students become interested in science and engineering careers.

The materials I am asking for are Spheros that will push my students' thinking and problem solving skills to the next level. The Spheros will be used as plows to push materials a certain way and also will be used to go through maze challenges that will build students' critical thinking skills. As my students work with them they will be practicing the engineering and science processes.
