This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to be at school. They love to learn, and they enjoy being an important part of their community. Nearly all the students that attend our school live in low-income households, but that doesn't stop them from contributing generously to their learning environment. They proudly cheer each other on, lift each other up, and push each other forward.

I aspire to build a classroom filled with happy healthy students that are actively acquiring skills necessary to succeed in a 21st century career.

By providing students with opportunities to read about and role play the skills necessary to care for dental hygiene, my students will have endless opportunities to develop these important traits. When my students look at our their future possible selves, I want them to see themselves in every possible position that piques their interest. Currently, many students in this classroom are interested in dentistry.

Your donation to this project will provide each student with a toothbrush and tube of tooth paste to take home so they can practice maintaining their own dental hygiene. Also, when they loose a tooth at school, they will have a tooth keeper ready to hold their tiny little treasure for safe keeping until they get home. Additionally, this project is requesting specific books and dramatic play materials to help the students explore the roles, responsibilities, and STEM skills needed to become a dentist.
