This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students get so much from Time for Kids. They love to read, take home and share this with their families.
My students are eager to learn and need materials to help them do that.
Our school has learned how to reach out to find resources that can provide assistance. When people fund our projects for teaching materials, our students really benefit. We as a community are appreciative.
My Project
Time for Kids has been a fantastic resource in my classroom for almost 10 years. It addresses the Common Core and helps parents understand what is involved in their kids curriculum. It provides specific lessons in foundational skills and students love it. Each child will get about 24 issues of their own magazine. They will use it in class and take it home.
By funding this project, it becomes one less thing that we need to pay for.
We still need pencils, paper, paper towels and Kleenex but that will come next. There are priorities and there are real teaching opportunities. Time for Kids might not change their lives, but it does provide enrichment.
