My Project
We offer graphic design and animation classes at our school. Students love these classes and are eager to create games and other graphics digitally--especially for our community arcade game in our common space. We find, however, that it can be slow and difficult for animation to be drawn on a desktop. We would love a class set of drawing tablets.
It will make it easier & quicker for students to digitally draw free hand with the tablets.
We want students to see an alternative to being on their phones all day. Students who are tied to their phones, end up with poorer mental health and motivation. Tablets will demonstrate ways to engage with technology in meaningful, creative, and constructive ways. Many students are also hesitant to try new things. Making technology more accessible, engaging, and in a way that allows students to feel connected to their community, will also help give these kids the skills and mindsets they will need in the real world.
