My Students

I teach special needs preschool. My students are 3-5 years of age and have varying disabilities. They are enthusiastic learners that love music, art, and stories that help them to learn early academic skills.

They learn best using multiple learning strategies and approaches.

Using hands-on learning experiences helps students to remain engaged and learn new skills. They also require visuals to help them learn and understand new skills.

Our school is considered to be an urban school, and most of our students come from low-income families. We appreciate any donations to help our students grow and learn!

My Project

We need more animal figures to add to our play center. Students need to be familiar with and exposed to different farm animals, zoo animals, and forest animals. We also need an animal adventure play carpet so that our students can explore and pretend with the animals in their environment.

Young children learn through play, which is why it is so important to provide them with many opportunities and materials to achieve this.

Most of my students have Speech and Language Impairments, and are focusing on learning to speak. We focus a lot on vocabulary, including the names of common objects such as animal names. The animal figurine sets would help us to teach the children new types of animals while encouraging them to use their imaginations while playing.

We would be very appreciative to receive these materials, and hope that you will consider donating to our classroom project Animals in Action!
