Animals, Books, Conservation, Oh My!

Help me give my students books about conservation and nature so that they will learn about becoming good stewards for our planet.

My Project

I am an elementary librarian in a Title I school for an urban school district.

The students at my school love coming down to the library weekly and checking out books.

My nonfiction section is very popular, especially the animal section.

With this project I’m requesting books that are primarily about conservation and animal habitats. I have books about global warming, but not about conservation. I think the students would find these books very interesting. (I know teachers will check them out).

My hope is that these books will get in the minds of our students so they are thinking about how they can contribute to the future of this planet.
