Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Throughout our reading and writing units of study, my first graders become Animal Researchers where they read about their favorite animal in a varied environment. My students learn about the key physical features of their animal such external and internal structures. They learn about what their animal likes to eat and where they live.
Bringing animals to life really interests others to what to know more about the animal that is chosen.
I am looking to get this National Geographic animal book library for my classroom so that my students will have books to learn from. The picture inside this book also helps students who are struggling with reading come up with words to help them with their writing.
