My Project

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” Anatole France. Children are naturally drawn to animals from a very young age. Loving them comes easy.

My kindergarten students are fascinated with animals from dogs to dinosaurs.

We are currently studying arctic animals. We learn all we can about a group of animals from around the world, then write a class report. Each student recalls any detail they can and I type it up on the big screen. I give them their own copy of the class report, then they get to illustrate it. It’s a great way to study science and writing combined…and it makes learning fun!
