My Project

I have witnessed many different struggles children face from year to year. One issue I see most common EVERY year is when a student is not able to afford school supplies.

It is heartbreaking to see a child have nothing to pull out of his backpack, if he even has a backpack, as others bring out shiny new pencils and crayons.

My favorite part of going back to school was getting new supplies. I want all my students to feel that excitement as I did and still do! With all that kids have to worry about, maybe this one thing can make them smile and feel good about themselves!

Along with the supplies my students need, I would like to get more flexible seating. Having different choices of seats allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which will increases oxygen flow to the brain and blood flow. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused.

Bright lights can also be a distraction for some students and being able to cover the florescent lighting helps with visual stimulation.

Please help me make the learning environment for my students the absolute best it can be!
