I have the pleasure of inspiring a great group of 1st to 5th grade ESOL students. They have been working so hard during our distance learning time. Many have been working with limited parental assistance because of their limited English. Some are working without access to electronic devices and the internet. I want to properly support them when they return to school for the 2020-2021 school year.
I want to inspire and reward them when they return to school in the fall.
They are hard workers and want to learn all they can to help themselves and their families.
My Project
I will use the items I have ordered to stock my Treasure Chest. Each day, several times a day, students will get a chance to have their names placed in a daily drawing.
Students will get chances all day to "Spread the Love!" When their name is called, they will be able to select something from the Treasure Chest.
Their names will be entered whenever they are helpful to one of their peers, have completed their work for the day, are respectful to others etc. They will get multiple opportunities to be placed in the drawing. They will love having their name called to get a special surprise.
