This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Everybody appreciates being appreciated, no matter how big or small the accomplishment… a simple reward such as a certificate can sometimes make a difference between a letter or percentage on a paper, and a truly genuine “Thank You, Congratulations on your Achievement."
My 6th graders are some of the most thankful kids in the world.
They appreciate everything our school provides for them. As a matter of fact, they understand the value education has to offer. I recognize that they are more apt to learn when they too are being thanked for their hard work and effort.
My Project
It brings a smile to my face when I see students greatly admire certificates I have printed for their well-deserved work. They treasure them in their school folders and binders, and tell me how their parents proudly display them at their homes. Both students and parents have shown gratitude for such small simple gestures.
I would love to continue to provide my students with simple certificates to encourage them to do their very best.
However, paper and printing ink sometimes takes a bite out of our budget. Thus, I would like to propose helping me fund certificates for my students. In addition, stamps with positive messages can also help keep a positive feeling alive in our classroom.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
