Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is a four week unit in their middle school social studies class during the month of January 2025. The students are in the sixth grade. The four week unit covers Ancient India focusing on geography, art, cooking, clothing and religion. Each week the students will read a story, watch a video, learn about the geography of India, learn about ancient Indian art including painting and bead making, and they will enjoy cooking meals with traditional Indian recipes exploring the spices, vegetables and beans most commonly found in Indian cooking. Any help supporting my project is most appreciated.
