This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our first-grade classroom, students learn best when they can fully engage with the material through hands-on and immersive experiences. To deepen their understanding of ancient civilizations, we are transforming our classroom into an Egyptian wonderland! Students will explore the mysteries of Ancient Egypt by creating their own hieroglyphics, crafting pharaoh headdresses, and engaging in art projects that make history come alive.

This transformation will ignite students' imaginations as they step into a world of pyramids, pharaohs, and papyrus scrolls.

Through visual decor, interactive activities, and creative projects, they will develop a deeper appreciation for history and culture. Each element of our transformation will help students connect with the material in a fun, educational way.

To bring this vision to life, we need satin gold tablecloths for decorative "royal" tables, Egyptian papyrus paper for writing experiences, gold acrylic paint and glitter glue for creating pharaoh headdresses and art, hieroglyphic stencils for writing, craft jewels and rhinestones for decorating projects, and Egyptian-themed backdrops to transform our classroom into a historical landscape.
