My Project
I am extremely fortunate to be teaching at EES! Whereas I have taught 4th-grade previously, I will be teaching 6th-grade this fall. I am so excited to be able to teach world history and want to create an immersive classroom experience that integrates social studies and language arts. So, I am asking for your help to build my classroom and curriculum to provide an engaging and exciting learning experience for my class!
Your support will make an enormous difference in my students' motivation, engagement, and understanding of ancient civilizations through an immersive and integrative classroom.
This project will support the following:
Classroom Decor - An immersive learning experience will excite students and provide visual information for learners of all levels. For example, the ancient civilization posters are a great visual aid for students when establishing timelines or key details.
I will use the themed stickers and rewards to incentivize positive behavior. The group set of "Escape from Rome"will help me integrate social studies into an ELA novel study group with this groupset.
The gift card funds will purchase curricula such as the Ancient Civilization Escape Room Bundle - My students absolutely love the escape room challenges. These challenges engage my students and are fantastic at teaching the content in a fun and exciting way. We will use the novel study bundles on the texts "The Golden Goblet," & "Daughter of Xanadu". Additionally, I will purchase the ancient civilization bundles with differentiated text about Ancient Egypt, Rome, China, and Mesoamerica; Ancient Civilization STEM activities; Guided Research Projects; and Ancient Civilization Readers' Theater texts.
