My Project
Anchor Charts are extremely helpful in recalling information and building a culture of visual literacy in the classroom by making thinking by both the student and teacher visible. Mini anchor charts will be used to reflect the discussions being held during instruction in small and whole group lessons. These instruction driven charts will be placed around each table in the room so my students can easily refer back to a new or previously taught skill.
These charts will help my students make connections during new learning and revisit old information they may be struggling with.
They also will provide visuals, help verify spelling, and recall. Additionally, the charts will be used to as a reference for newly introduced procedures, transitions, and projects and will help greatly with their scientific literacy and thinking.
