Anchoring the Basics

Help me give my students self-sticking chart paper, wall shelving units, and a cork bulletin board to make our classroom functional and mindful!

My Students

Our students are hardworking learners who strive to do their best in the classroom, their community, and at home. As part of a large district, and with a growing poverty level currently at 58%, our students face many challenges. They rise to them, however, with grace and a hunger for success and knowledge.

Every challenge Plaza Pacers encounter is another opportunity for success.

Teachers and students set a high bar, whether that regards learning standards, expectations, or creation, and students work hard to rise to the occasion.

My Project

Shelving units will keep us organized as we begin to make use of our chart paper and wall displays. Chart paper and cork board will allow teachers and students to create anchor charts, have a place to display information and gratitude, and conduct teaming exercises with the ability to showcase their thinking. Chart paper allows students to show their work in a creative way, and the bulletin board will be used for Notes of Gratitude. Students and teachers will be able to leave positive, grateful notes to one another so that everyone will be able to recognize one another. Our school is focusing on climate and culture, and gratitude and mindfulness are the keys to happiness. This will help us be more conscious of and kind to others!
