My Students

Technology is a beautiful thing. It would be amazing to have a document viewer to show students in the "here and now" math mistakes and math conquers their classmates are making. My students also need engaging/relevant common core test preparation materials to help them meet the C.C. standards.

My students are hands down the best in the city.

They are sweet, inquisitive, curious, hard-working, and excited about learning. They love being in school, in fact they are here from 7:05 am until 5:15 pm four days a week. They all receive free breakfast, lunch, and dinner on those days. Since their school week is long and enduring, I am always trying to come up with ways to engage them in their learning while still building stamina as mathematicians and test takers.

My Project

With the use of the document viewer I will be able to INSTANTANEOUSLY correct misconceptions students are having, be able to reach students where they are, and push them to the next level. I will also be able to use the common core test preparation materials and document viewer simultaneously, and this will really help students reach the standards the common core are holding them to and deepen their understanding to become better mathematicians.

Students from all socioeconomic statues deserve the same chance at getting a personalized, tailored, and rigorous education.

Donations to this project will help with leveling the playing field in our corner of urban education. I know that we will put these materials to great use and my students will SOAR through their state tests.
