My Project
There are various levels of learners in my classroom. They thrive when utilizing technology in an educational setting. Unfortunately, the iPads we currently have are outdated, a few of them are so slow that they will not update or function as needed.
An updated iPad in the classroom would have a positive impact and drive excitement into the classroom.
Several of my students are visual and tactile learners. They would be thrilled and learn at a faster pace if they were able to use a tool as advanced as an iPad in the classroom. My students would be able to learn place value and work with fractions, with the ability to touch and move the numbers they are working with. They would love to have manipulatives that can be shared onto a Promethean Board or learn through the various educational apps made available to the iPad. They would be able to see the shapes of figures when calculating area and perimeter. This tool would motivate and inspire my students to continue to work to their potential by utilizing cutting-edge technology.
