An Updated Classroom Library That's Easy For Students To Use
My students need new bookcases (ours are barely holding together) book bins (so it would be easy to see what books we have) and labels (to see the genre).
Have you ever had a hard time looking for a good book? My students do. My students are faced with this challenge everyday. They sit at my library sorting and sifting through the book piles trying to find a good book to sit and read.
I have a wonderful classroom of avid readers.
My second graders love to sit and read or listen to a good book. Whenever they have free time, my 20 students like to go and grab a book from our library full of amazing books that I've been collecting/purchasing throughout the years.
My Project
These resources that I'm asking for would benefit my students greatly. One, we would have new sturdy bookshelves that would not fall over or be held up by tape/crates/walls. Two, my students would have such an easier time looking for the perfect book to sit and read with the ease of having bins that are labeled with the genre. Finally, by having a new classroom library, my students would not have to "just pick a book to read," but pick a book that really want to read and enjoy!
This project is so important to our classroom, because you would be helping each child in my classroom read a little more everyday!
