My Project

My Botany students are a great group of kids who really just need some basic supplies to keep them engaged and some not-so basic supplies to get them motivated. The goals of this project is to take away any excuses for not using the class time, keeping kids in class, and giving them reasons to look forward to being done with their work.

Many of my students lack some basic supplies, such as pencils and colored pencils, that are very necessary in our study of Botany.

They also often struggle with motivation, especially close to breaks and towards the end of the school year, and spend time leaving class for long trips to the bathroom.

I want to give my students the tools they need and some out-of-the box reasons, like lego sets to build and a coffee bar, to motivate them to stay in class and continue their efforts in class to learn and then have time to relax when they are done.
