An Spectacular Space Adventure!

My students need 60 tickets to see "One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure" in the Definiti Space Theater at the Adler Planetarium.

My Students

My students go to school on the West-Side of Chicago. They come from low-income homes that want the best for their children but don't have the resources to assist in their education. Since funding is low in the schools, the students are at a disadvantage than other schools. Our students need to have technology to grow and develop in this society. This is the era of technology and to not be able to have it at home or school puts our students way behind. We need the students to succeed and become the best they can be regardless of where they live or go to school. Every student should have technology in their school!

My Project

My students want to see the show "One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure" but in order for them to see it we will need the funding to go. By getting the money needed to see the show will allow the students to learn outside of the four walls in the classroom as well as get expose to areas outside of where they live. They will get an opportunity to see their first show at the Adler Planetarium, which will allow them to explore and learn all the wonderful adventures of space. They will be able to come back to the classroom with knowledge, which they couldn't have received by just listening from a book.

The students would be able to have firsthand knowledge from being able to explore and learn all the things in space by seeing and touching, as well as hearing.

This will be an awesome experience for the students as well as allow them to gain valuable knowledge about space in such an explorative way.

By donating to this project you will be allowing the students to get a chance of a lifetime by going to see their first show. My students don't have the opportunity to go visit the planetarium with their families due to lack of resources, but they should be given a chance at school to be able to go on a field trip. My students shouldn't be worried about if they get to go see the show "One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure," but should just be able to go!
