My Students
My school is a public school in Chicago where 93% of the students are low income. This year, our primary classrooms are made up of about 20 eager learners.
Our students are considered high-needs and have many stresses compared to the average five to eight-year-olds.
Because of this, I work very hard to make sure the students at our school receive the learning, resources, and exposure they need to surpass what some statistics may say. I am proud of the hard work my students put in each day!
My Project
Students are returning to school after 10 months of learning from home. Due to COVID regulations, schools will not look entirely the same. Students are unable to share the items we use each day in school, which is a big shift for elementary classrooms.
These organizational supplies will help students have access to the supplies they need while remaining safe.
Plastic storage bins and bags will ensure that student materials stay separated and organized throughout the school day. The rolling cart will allow easy transition between instruction of in-person learners and at-home learners.
