I have such a wonderful group of five and six year olds in my class! They are happy to be at school, eager to help out in any way, and full of fun.
My class is made up of 19 incredible little learners.
They are so polite and caring towards one another. My students get along very well together and I love their natural love for learning. I feel so thankful that I get to be their teacher this year!
My Project
I feel that the classroom library is the center of a kindergarten classroom. I have spent a lot of time dreaming up my perfect classroom library for my students and I hope I can create this!
My students love to read and I love to see their excitement when they choose a book that they are absolutely thrilled about!
My hope is that I can instill a deep love for books in the students that are in my classroom.
I am asking for three two-shelf storage cabinets and book baskets so that I can sort all of our books into genres. I will clearly label each basket/category. I want my students to be able to easily browse and choose a book that they are looking for and are interested in. I feel that it is so important for kids to know how and where to find the things they are looking for in my classroom.
I am also asking for a book display shelf. I love to highlight some of my favorite holiday and season-specific books on our classroom carpet/reading area. By having certain books featured, it will help students be able to choose book topics that correlate with the things that are happening in our world.
Thank you so much for your consideration in helping fund my project!
