it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Have you noticed the smile on your students? Well, I have. It is pretty amazing that every single day I pick my students up in the morning, they all have a big and bright smile to start the day. They have a spark and funk full of energy to start the day learning. They all embrace their Latino heritage and values.
If you walk into our room you would immediately see a room full of diligent students, working hard and motivating each other every day!
We have hopes and dreams, and we know that hard work now will help us accomplish those dreams in the future.
My Project
My students need activities that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition, blending, and building words to explore with at Learning Center time. Our students will use these materials to explore their ability through building, drawing, segmenting, making letters and sounds, and then words! These activities will be used during Learning Center times throughout the day as we read and write while learning together. They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they make words, counting letter sounds, recognize letter names, and apply them to their reading skills. Your generous donation to our project will improve our Bilingual Kindergarten classroom by building stronger readers and writers. This will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school and feel success at an early age having fun while learning!
