Help me give my students a classroom iPad to connect to our digital Scholastic News where we tackle social issues and various reading passages.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Freels's classroom raised $842

My Students
I have fifty-two diverse third grade learners. My students show a great amount of enthusiasm for learning. They are particularly interested in EVERYTHING technology right now! Their excitement for learning is exhibited daily, as is their support for their peers.
“All of us do not have equal backgrounds, but all of us should have an equal opportunity to develop.”
We are in a mostly low-income/high-poverty school district, with many of my students facing several challenges both in and out of the classroom. We strive to make school an enjoyable experience where all students feel safe and engaged. As their teacher and an educator of color, I aim to foster their curiosity through equity and a love of learning. We appreciate donations as well as any positive thoughts you send our way!
My Project
An iPad tablet will give my students access to the latest technology to enhance their learning. The iPad will be used for two primary reasons. First, it will be used to access quality applications that teach students about social issues and equity. A few examples would be Readworks, News-O-Matic EDU, CNN10 News, Week In Rap - Flocabulary. The second use for the iPad will be to give students the ability to use our digital current events through Scholastic News. Having an iPad, Scholastic News, and select websites will lead to great discussions and teachable moments in our classroom.
