My Students
How will our students, the children of the future, keep up with their peers near and far, without the knowledge of using the latest technology? An iPad could offer so many opportunities for the 84 fifth graders at our school!
Our fifth grade class is a multi-cultural classroom with all levels of learners.
We're in a public K-5 school in central Arizona. With three fifth grade classes at our school, we rotate classes among the three teachers. There are about 28 students in each class.
My Project
Using an iPad, students can create apps, among many other student made products, to demonstrate learning, display creativity, and explore their passions. Simply putting an iPad in the hands of the students, whether at a center, as reward time, or for a lesson, would be a priceless experience for our students.
Many students in my classroom do not have access to a computer at home, let alone an iPad.
A piece of technology like this will have a direct impact on them, their future aspirations, and indirectly then, our future as well.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
