Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a lively bunch that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with in and out of the classroom. I have a wide variety of learning styles and levels. Every student in my classroom is unique and everyone in the room respects each other. Throughout the day, I see random acts of kindness in our class which makes me so happy! I care about my students and they know it!
My goal as a bilingual teacher is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.
I especially love that they try their BEST on everything that comes their way! They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers and I know I can count on them. Every day I make sure and instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens.
My Project
All students deserve an education filled with all the latest things to enhance their learning. Students are now known as digital natives and having an iPad will help them create more authentic learning experiences in the classroom, as well as build twenty-first century skills that our children need to be successful. Students will be able to use the iPad for educational apps, reading, writing, math, science, and so much more.
In addition, my students lack access to technology, which is important to be successful in a quickly evolving technical world.
My goal is to have all of my class get comfortable using an iPad for educational purposes. More than half of my class doesn't have access to one, nor internet access at home. This will be a great opportunity to explore and learn on the same level as students who have this access. Our classroom will be forever changed with an iPad in the picture!
