My Students

I have a classroom of seven and eight year old students with varying abilities and learning styles.
My students are visual learners who need hands-on learning.
My students attend a small school in a rural community. I have students with varying abilities and learning styles. Differentiation happens in our classroom every minute of the day. Our school has two teachers per grade level, and the grade levels we have are pre-kindergarten to sixth grade.
My Project
Technology is an amazing tool for today’s teachers and students. Today’s students are technologically savvy, which makes them comfortable using touch screens and other interactive learning planks. With that being said, iPads are second nature to my students. The students will use the iPad, cover, and the headphones for interactive e-books, creation, and interactive learning for math, reading, language, speaking, social studies, and science.
Additionally, the iPad will have the capability to be customized for each particular student's level of learning and learning style.
With the help of the iPad, students again have the ability to show their work and presentations in amazing new ways. Special needs students are able to effortlessly write, read, and work on math facts that are more difficult to do with pencil and paper.
