Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come in all sizes and colors, are intelligent, curious, and eager to learn. They will use their iPad to work on a variety of STEM applications including Tinybop, where they will learn about the states of matter, light and color, weather, and the Earth. Use 3D models of space in Solar Walk 2 to pilot through the solar system, and explore how and why planets move the way they do. Learn about motion, forces, and energy, and the relationship between math and science with the New York Hall of Science app. Explore real world math applications by using augmented reality to walk around 3D shapes that they create with the GeoGebra AR app. By donating to this project, my students will be able to participate in learning experiences will awaken their curiosity, help develop their critical thinking skills, and expose them to real life science and math experiences.
