This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Technology has come a long way since I was a child. The integration of technology can influence and motivate a child to learn. I want to spark that desire to learn in all my students and motivate them with the integration of an iPad into our curriculum.
My students live in South Central Los Angeles.
They attend a Title I school, where the majority of students receiving free or reduced federal lunch. Due to the lack of funding, budget cuts, the disheartening fact is that students in the inner-city frankly do not have the same resources or experiences as students in more affluent areas. I am asking for your help to provide them with technology resources needed to make education fun and accessible by all of my students.
My Project
My student's reading progress will have a great impact with the introduction of an iPad. An iPad will bring countless opportunities for students to practice a variety of reading skills such as high frequency words, spelling patterns, phonics and even help them with their reading fluency. An iPad will bring excitement and innovation to the reinforcements of these skills. Students will stay motivated because they will be able to monitor and show their progress. I want my students to succeed at reading and an iPad will surely help them.
Knowing that today's world is technologically driven, it makes perfect sense to address the needs of our students in a digital fashion.
Please help bring these invaluable resources to our classroom. My students have very little and to have an iPad center in class will greatly benefit their academic growth in multiple ways. Please allow me to incorporate technology into my everyday lessons to maximize the learning of every student
