My Project
Circle time is the time and place where we come together every morning before our Art lesson, and my students love it.
Here, we share ideas and information that will be needed during our projects.
Circle time is so important because it allows my young students to develop their sense of community by being in collaborative proximity to each other, as well as to develop communication and social skills. As a teacher, it helps me teach my students effective listening skills, and model respect and appreciation for other viewpoints in the group.
The challenge we have is that the area we use for circle time is not carpeted, and sometimes we need to use our jackets, or a large piece of cardboard to be able to sit comfortably, on the floor.
With this rug, our circle time corner will feel homely and inviting. And my students will be able to enjoy this part of the day, even more. I feel that being comfortable is crucial to unleash our creative potential and to feel confident and relaxed. I am sure this item will be a game-changer for our morning routine and my kids will appreciate it.
